Parish Council Achievements and Projects

Things the PC have done the previous year 2025.

• Recruiting Kayley to run The Little Park Pantry
• Liaising with DCC with the Double Yellow Lines at Lower Town near the station junction
• Maintenance to benches and water pump
• Liaise with Edenstone to replace the planter and village sign at Higher Town
• Secured a contract for the cleaning of the bus stops
• Started our Emergency Plan

Projects for this year

• Continue our Emergency Plan
• New defibrillator cabinet at the Village hall.
• Extra Salt/Grit box installed on Holbrook Lane and Whitnage road.
• Carried out an examination of village deeds and land ownership. With a review of the village constitution.
• Consider the results of the Housing Needs Survey which has been undertaken in conjunction with Mid Devon District Council and Devon Communities Together
• Use this information to consult with residents on a Neighbourhood Priority Statement that will shape developments in Sampford Peverell
• Double Yellow lines / restricted parking at Lower Town near the station junction
• Plant Christmas Tree
• Include the Globe Inn defibrillator on the Circuit.
• CCTV to be installed on the toilet block to deter Vandalism.
• Bench at battens cross requires restoring or new.
• Include the two Flower beds as PC assets
