Sampford Peverell is an English civil parish within the district of Mid Devon and the county of Devon
Sampford Peverell is a pretty village near Tiverton in Devon and is home to about 1300 people. The village has great facilities including a good pub, a shop-cum-Post Office, a farm shop, a doctor’s surgery, a village hall, a primary school, a sports field, tennis courts, a Multi Use Games Area, and a fun Play Park. The Grand Western canal runs through the middle of the village, providing scenic views and easy walking and cycling routes. There are great transport links: we are near the M5, and have Tiverton Parkway station within walking distance.

Despite some recent rainfall, and the forecast of a storm this weekend, Devon remains in severe drought after months of exceptionally hot, dry weather. Rivers, reservoirs, and groundwater supplies are still under pressure and will take time to recover water levels.

Housing and Economic Land Availability Assessment
Mid Devon District Council published their Housing and Economic Land Availability Assessment showing land that has been made available for development within the Mid Devon region. Going forward the decision will be made which of these sites will be included in the new Mid Devon Local Plan.
